| In Vino Veritas: In vino Veritas opened its doors on March 12, 2003. Seven years later were still here (packin' em in), fast becoming an upper Manhattan tradition.The idea to open a wine bar in Washington Heights came from the desire to create a locale with a downtown feel yet without the air of exclusivity that some of those establishments embody. Though there were many fine restaurants in the area very few offered a decent selection of wine or alternative cuisine. We decided to introduce InVinoVertias to the area. The concept was to create a place where people would come to share our passion of wine and unwind. A place that people would come to think of as an extension of their own living rooms, casual and laid back. Despite the fact that many of our patrons today are wine connoisseurs, we like to think of our establishment as a "learning" wine bar. The space itself is cozy, yet feels expansive. We offer great wine/food pairings and well priced menus, as well as an approachable and professional staff. Particular attention has been paid to the wine list with something to suit every pallet and pocket.
